5 Professional Gifts to Prepare for 2018
This handy hourglass goes for 30 minutes. Besides how aesthetically pleasing it is, its also functional. This makes a great assistant for those using the Pomodoro method. Although the Pomodoro method features 25 minute spurts, I still find a timer a great way to keep focused and motivate for a short period of time. The 5 minute one is great when you need to take a break! You can check out these hourglasses on Amazon.
Dry Erase Board for Your Daily Top 3
Alright, alright. This isn’t the most glamorous gift. But if you are looking to increase your productivity, a portable dry-erase board is a must for 2018. I’m even making a point to explicitly write out my “Top 3” for each day. Put this board and your Top 3 right in front of you. Keep those tasks front and center. This makes sure you not only never forget them, but that they don’t get lost in your to-do list. Each time you finish one of your top 3, erase it. At the end of the day, write your top three for the following day. When you get to work in the morning, you’ll know exactly what needs your attention.
These are seriously my favorite notebooks I have ever used. While the Essentials Notebook is a cost-effective alternative, I absolutely love the Leuchtturm page numbers and index. These are great notebooks and are pretty hard to find in stores. The gold, silver, and copper ones are limited special edition for those of you looking for some extra shine this holiday season.
A Funky Pen for their Personality
As the slogan for Retro 51 says, “Life’s too short to carry an ugly pen!” Pens can be a conversation starter. Now if Bic’s are your thing, don’t let me stop you. But if you are looking for something special to get the stationary enthusiast in your life, a pen that matches their personality is a great option. There’s a skeleton pen for the doctor, the Einstein for the nerd, cursive for the teacher… the list goes on!
If you are looking for another option, I highly recommend the Pilot Metropolitan collection. I have several of these fountain pens and a couple rollerballs. Both these pens (the Retro 51 requires a little tweaking) can take regular Pilot G2 refills, which give you a nice look and functionality while still maintaining the practicality of having a available refills. The Metropolitans come in different colors and are super reasonably priced!
This gorgeous foil 2018 calendar is just enough glam for your office. This large kraft paper calendar provides an alternative for those males looking to stay organized.
Plus, with a changing image each month, it keeps your office or cubicle from getting boring.
Personalized Mouse Pad
A personalized mouse pad from Erin Condren makes a great gift for any professional. These designs are super cute (the woodgrain makes a great option for those looking for something more masculine) and I’ve been really impressed with the product quality on everything I have received from EC. I had been eyeing their mouse pads for a while and finally took the plunge this winter. If you are a new customer, you can sign up with this Erin Condren referral link to get $10 off! What a steal!
Bonus: Amazon Prime.
Amazon Prime is as close to hassle-free instant gratification I can get. I don’t need to deal with the complete insanity of the mall around the holidays and I have my packages in 2 days. If you aren’t already using Prime, you can sign up and Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial to get you through the holidays! If you are a student, you can get 50% off a discounted membership. Check out the student deal here.
